Shanghai International Lighting Fair and City Lighting Summit 2018: A well-received new show theme and an increase in visitor numbers
Shanghai International Lighting Fair 2018, held from 3 ‒ 5 September at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, welcomed visitors from across China and internationally to take part in a revamped show that placed a special emphasis on city lighting. The concurrently held Shanghai International City Lighting Summit gathered a series of high quality speakers to present their latest findings on current and future city lighting trends. This year’s fair also saw an increase in visitor numbers from 2017 as over 12,500 attended the three-day show, while 211 exhibitors occupied some 11,500 sqm of exhibition space.
Shanghai International Lighting Fair ushers in a new era of city lighting
Shanghai International Lighting Fair will debut its new theme of city lighting when the fair opens on 3 September 2018. The format of the show has undergone a major revamp as a new focus of city lighting has propelled the annual fair and brought with it a range of exciting new exhibits and related technology and products. With the support of the Shanghai Landscaping and City Appearance Administrative Bureau and Lighting Urban Community International (LUCI) Association, the first Shanghai International City Lighting Summit will also gather international experts and scholars from a number of different sectors to explore the role of lighting in tomorrow’s cities.
Shanghai International Lighting Fair remodels itself to become a new platform exhibiting the future development of city lighting
Shanghai International Lighting Fair will be held from 3 ‒ 5 September 2018 in Hall W5 at Shanghai New International Expo Center. The format of the show has undergone a major revamp as city lighting becomes the main theme of the 2018 edition. The fair will be a pioneering platform that showcases the latest designs, innovations and projects which can revolutionise the way we light our cities. In addition, the first Shanghai International City Lighting Summit will be held concurrently, allowing key industry players to share their insights into city lighting.
Shanghai International Lighting Fair boasts a record number of exhibitors and visitors
The fourth edition of the Shanghai International Lighting Fair continued its streak of year-on-year growth by again recording increases in exhibitor and visitor numbers as well as hosting a well-received concurrent event programme. Held from 5 ‒ 7 September at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre and organised by Guangzhou Guangya Messe Frankfurt Co Ltd, the 2017 fair welcomed 238 exhibitors (2016: 124) and 12,147 visitors (2016: 11,958) utilising some 11,500 sqm of exhibition space.
