Bullish nonwovens market in China emerges as key takeaway from June’s China International Nonwovens Expo & Forum
Following last month’s successful second edition of the biennial China International Nonwovens Expo & Forum (CINE – supported by Techtextil), one thing is clear: multiple nonwovens product sectors in China continue to exhibit strong growth and immense potential for the foreseeable future.
China’s 13th Five-year Plan spurs growth in nonwovens industry ahead of this week’s CINE
This week’s China International Nonwovens Expo & Forum (CINE, supported by Techtextil) is, like the technical textiles industry in China as a whole, continuing to benefit from the government’s 13th Five-year Plan which has boosted production capacity and demand for nonwoven products in the country. The plan’s focus on industry upgrading has led to an increase in capacity, with output estimated to reach 7 million tons in 2020, up from 5.35 million in 2016.
Second edition of China International Nonwovens Expo & Forum moves to June
The China International Nonwovens Expo & Forum (CINE, supported by Techtextil), returns for its second edition in 2017 with an earlier date in the calendar to better suit the industry’s needs: 21 – 23 June. Co-organised by the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT; the China Nonwovens & Industrial Textiles Association (CNITA); the Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry (INDA); and Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd this biennial event was first held in October 2015, and has been brought forward to June due to suggestions from key stakeholders.
Optimism amongst participants of first-ever China International Nonwovens Expo & Forum
Messe Frankfurt’s new nonwovens event, the China International Nonwovens Expo & Forum (CINE – supported by Techtextil), concluded last month. The three-day event was held in Shanghai Mart from 14 – 16 October and featured nearly 100 exhibitors covering an area of 6,000 sqm, which attracted nearly 5,000 visitors from 29 countries and regions.
Messe Frankfurt’s new event captures the growing Chinese nonwovens market
Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd is launching a new initiative this year to facilitate nonwovens fabric suppliers’ expansion into China, where imports of such products jumped 128% from 2000 to 2013. The German exhibition company’s Asia Pacific branch will launch the China International Nonwovens Expo & Forum (CINE – supported by Techtextil) from 14 – 16 October, adding one more event to its comprehensive textile portfolio, and complementing the biennial Cinte Techtextil China trade fair.
