ISH digital 2021: not just paying lip service but offering genuine solutions for the energy revolution
Frankfurt am Main, 26 March 2021. Green Deal, life-giving air or the hygiene trend in the bathroom – the first digital edition of ISH, the world’s leading trade fair for HVAC + Water, put the spotlight on themes of social, political and economic importance. A total of 373 companies presented their innovative products at ISH digital 2021.
Messe Frankfurt works together with the music industry to develop concepts for Musikmesse in 2022
For the upcoming edition, a spring date is planned within the time frame of Prolight + Sound in April 2022. Together with the sector, its associations and other partners from the cultural and creative industries, formats and contents are being developed for an event that will take into account the requirements and objectives of all participants.
Successes in Asia and France
Following a successful new start in China, Messe Frankfurt has now also held physical events in Japan and France. The regional Beautyworld Japan Fukuoka trade fair and Texworld Evolution Showroom Paris each made face-to-face business encounters possible while complying with hygiene and safety standards. In Germany, Messe Frankfurt’s digital platforms have played host to lively international gatherings even during the pandemic.
Prolight + Sound, Heimtextil, Techtextil and Texprocess postponed until 2022; International Consumer Goods Show cancelled
Back in September 2020, a decision was reached by Messe Frankfurt and the industries involved to forgo any physical events at our home base in the first quarter of 2021. Now, following close consultation with customers, it has become necessary to postpone the international physical trade fairs planned for April and May – Prolight + Sound, the International Consumer Goods Show, Heimtextil, Techtextil and Texprocess – as a result of the regulations and travel restrictions that have been imposed.
€250 million in sales in spite of the coronavirus crisis
Mayor and Messe Frankfurt Supervisory Board Chairman Feldmann: The coronavirus pandemic has affected the entire trade fair sector at a fundamental level and brought it to a virtual standstill. Thanks to its extensive global presence and longstanding digital expertise, Messe Frankfurt still managed to hold more than 150 events worldwide in 2020. The company generated Group sales of approximately €250 million. In spite of its liquidity-oriented business management, the Group is continuing to invest in the future viability of its business model.
