Messe Frankfurt restructures its senior management team in Greater China
To provide the expertise and agility needed to respond to developments in the fast-changing Greater China market, global exhibition organiser Messe Frankfurt has today announced a restructuring of its board level leadership across its subsidiaries in the region. The reorganisation will see senior management from four of the company’s Greater China subsidiaries play a more active role in steering the company in the region, with each bringing a combination of new knowledge, international perspectives and the local understanding needed to deal with challenges such as the pandemic.
Trade fair activity is recovering in Frankfurt – the historic home of the exhibition
With a history in the exhibition industry stretching back some 800 years, the city of Frankfurt is accustomed to dealing with disruptions. In fact, the current pandemic joins a long list of historic events to afflict trade fair activity in the city during this time. For exhibition organiser Messe Frankfurt, Q2 of this year marked the end of the most recent interruption. After a break of more than two years, the company has made a successful return to its business in Frankfurt, with five of the company’s flagship events bringing together around 3,450 exhibitors and 133,000 visitors from 129 countries and regions for the first time since the pandemic began.
Sustainability drives sales: Messe Frankfurt aiming for €400 million
Messe Frankfurt is back on the international trade fair stage, including at its Frankfurt base. Since April, we have been able to hold events without any restrictions whatsoever. In spite of the difficult economic situation in financial years 2020 and 2021 owing to the pandemic, the company continued to invest and took important strategic decisions for its future. In addition to digitalisation, Messe Frankfurt is working to make its business practices even more sustainable.
